个人简介:

Francois Gitzhofer,舍布鲁克大学教授,工程学院院长,等离子体工程彩票之家平台网站 主任,国际知名的等离子材料合成技术专家,具有深厚的等离子体理论知识及丰富的等离子体材料开发合成经验。在材料合成领域,发明了悬浮液等离子喷涂技术,该技术已在等离子体化学/等离子体处理方面得到了广泛应用。发表SCI论文100余篇、会议论文250余篇。主持了多项加拿大彩票之家平台网站 和企业项目,同时也是多个国际学术期刊的审稿人、加拿大彩票之家平台网站 特聘政策咨询顾问以及国际会议特邀演讲嘉宾。


内容摘要:

Processes are limited by materials availability and it is of the highest importance to have access to tools to develop very fast new materials compositions or phases or micro and nano architectures.  Plasma technology is a powerful technology as it is an ultimate chemical reactor where equilibrium can be reached at the gas phase in milliseconds and by controlling the materials injection, the plasma chemistry as well as the quenching of the synthesized materials a lot of different compositions can be produced essentially limited by our imagination.

In this presentation, Prof. Gitzhofer will describe how suspension plasma technology can be a flexible tool in the field of exotic alloys synthesis (Al-Mo or Ni-Al-Mo). The difficulty with Al and Mo is that the boiling point of Aluminum is lower than the melting point of Molybdenum.  The second field of application of the suspension plasma technology is for Baryum Magnesium Tantalum Oxide coatings synthesis (melting temperature is 3000°C) in the field of super high performance thermal barriers coatings for applications in the next generation high power density turbine engines. By controlling the injection size of the droplets it is possible to affect the microstructure and produce even columnar grain growth. The feed rate as well as the substrate roughness are also important variables to take into account for getting the desired coating architecture.
